- It
take at least 25 days in order to manufacture a hand made marionette.
The kind of marionette is functional and it can be used in shows.
It has 10 threads and all the part of the body have joints.
The joints enable the marionette to make the same movements
as a human being. (You can watch how the marionettes moves in
video).
- At
the first stage the skeleton of the marionette is made
of wire. Small pieces of wire have been glued together
so that the figure of a human skeleton to be achieved.
Joints also allow the marionette to move naturally (picture
1). Having finish with the skeleton, we make paper
pulp, we concoct it and then we adjust it on the wire
trying to fix the desired figure (picture 2). It
is necessary to rub and putty the body and the face of
the marionette so that they become smooth. In the next
stage, we paint, dressmake and adjust the threads on the
body and head (picture 3). The threads are made
of fishing-line and the hunging must be very careful so
that the movement of the marionette is balanced.
